After our consultation their will be many options available to you based on your personal circumstances – not all appointments will lead to treatment. We will also discuss lifestyle improvements.

I am affiliated with Queensland Fertility Group(link QFG.com.au) and if required I am able to provide an extensive range of fertility services including

Fees

Your first consultation with me will cost only $105 (after medicare rebates).  This includes a thorough history and, physical examination and if an ultrasound examination is required, this will be an additional $20 (after rebates).

We have provided the following costs for fertility treatments as a guide only. Individual costs will be outlined during your consultation with me. For all other enquiries please contact the practice on 07 3353 6855.

Intrauterine Insemination

Intrauterine Insemination (sometimes also called artificial insemination) is a very low cost treatment option. Your first insemination cycle is approximately $575, and any subsequent cycles are only $355 (out of pocket cost) . This includes – planning and consultation, ovulation monitoring, semen preparation and any associated QFG fees.  All these are fee after rebates.

There might be additional cost, for example cost for medications and purchase of donor sperm, depending on your circumstances.

IVF

Important Notes:

• You will be sent a hospital account for the egg pick-up and embryo transfer. Depending on your private health insurance cover you may have an excess or co-payment which the hospital will request to be paid on admission.
• You will also be sent an anaesthetist account for the egg pick-up. This account will be billed by the attending anaesthetist and may involve some out-of-pocket expense.
• At the beginning of your cycle you will also receive an account from QFG for their portion of the IVF process. You will receive a rebate from Medicare which can be claimed immediately after the completion of the cycle. If not claimed promptly, this will affect the health fund payment for the inpatient procedures to this practice.
• It is your responsibility to check with your private health fund to confirm if you are covered for IVF procedures.

Frozen Embryo Transfer Cycle

The approximate out of pocket cost is $1100 for insured patients and $1500 for uninsured patients (once safety net threshold met)

Important Notes:

• You will be sent a hospital account for this procedure. Depending on your private health insurance cover you may have an excess or co-payment which the hospital will request to be paid on admission.
• At the beginning of the cycle you will receive an account from QFG for their portion of the frozen embryo cycle. You will receive a rebate from Medicare on completion of the cycle.
• If not claimed promptly, this will affect the health fund payment for the procedure of the practice.
• I may also prescribe pessaries. The cost range from $50-$100 a week depending of the type of pessaries
• It is your responsibility to check with your private health fund to confirm if you are covered for IVF procedures.
